In this post, we'll discuss what a registered TrenchDevs user sees after logging in.

Dashboard

The dashboard currently highlights the following metrics respectively:

  • Number of active users on the platform
  • Number of user logins for the past month
  • Number of users (sometimes bots) visited the main page (trenchdevs.org); and
  • If you have your portfolio setup number of visits on your portfolio (in this case testing.trenchdevs.org)

The account tab is simply for the user's basic information and change password form.

My Portfolio

This field is used for updating your portfolio details, which will be visible publicly on your sub domain. The information needed for a full portfolio are:

  • Basic Info - Avatar, sub domain, background cover, and portfolio template
  • Experiences - Job related experiences
  • Degrees - Educational attainment
  • Skills - Technical Skills based on fluency; and
  • Certifications
  • Projects (coming soon..)

After giving the portfolio details, the logged in user should be able to access their portfolio by their username: username.trenchdevs.org

Blog

One of the core features of TrenchDevs is creating a blog post - such as this one. All blogs in TrenchDevs will be accessible via the blog.trenchdevs.org domain.

Other Sidebar Links

  • Markdown Notes - this is a future module for creating markdown notes
  • Issues (external link) - External link to the trenchdevs issues page
  • Repositories (external link) - All repositories associated from trenchdevs
  • Modules (external link) - Modules (usually front-end apps) that consume the trenchdevs API
  • Announcements - a way for core contributors to send email notifications to all users
  • Commands - Server commands
